Facebook Commenting Fun
Today I made a Facebook comment that I enjoyed so much I decided to capture it here for posterity's sake. Thank goodness my friends encourage me like they do. (I blurred the faces & names to protect the innocent):

My birthday weekend gave me the opportunity to try a couple new (to me) brews: Allagash Tripel Reserve & Long Trail Winter White. I enjoyed both, but the Long Trail was my favorite. The orange & coriander flavors really appealed to me, and it had a nice warming effect. In the wake of the Patriots' loss, this beer gave me hope that better times are ahead.
Last week when my parents were visiting for Christmas, my mom called me to the window to point out a huge bird that was perched in a tree behind our house. Being the aspiring photog that I am, I grabbed my 7D and my zoom lens and headed out into the yard to see if I could get a pic. Unfortunately I lost track of which tree the bird was in, and before I knew it he was taking off and flying in the opposite direction. My gut instinct was to raise the camera and start shooting.
The girls & I had so much fun at the sledding hill yesterday that we decided to return with Katie today. There was a lot more powder flying in our faces, but we still had a blast!
WROR uploaded a podcast of all the calls to Santa from last Tuesday when Molly called, so I was able to extract the audio snippet. Here it is!
Ahhh, Christmas night! My favorite night of the year. Katie & I exchange gifts, have some quality beverages, and just chill out. Tonight I decided to go with St. Bernardus Christmas Ale, which is my favorite seasonal. It's heavy on Christmas spices and never fails to disappoint.
I'm sure Santa needs one of these right about now. Enjoy, big guy! And Merry Christmas everyone...
