Saison du BUFF Trifecta!

My dad & I decided to sample all 3 of the Saison du BUFF beers this afternoon. Overall I think Stone, Dogfish Head & Victory all knocked this one out of the park. We found that there were very subtle differences between the beers that were mostly related to how strongly the herbs (parsley, sage, rosemary & thyme) hit the palate. I'd have no problem drinking any of these fine brews again, but if forced to rank them I'd go:

1. Victory
2. Dogfish Head
3. Stone

Victory seemed to have the best balance of the 3. All of them went down VERY easily.

This is a great concept and I look forward to enjoying more collaborations from three of my favorite breweries!

Picking up my rare coffee

What can I say? I'm under Starbucks' spell!

It's way too early for this, but it still looks good...

Pretty Things Field Mouse's Farewell

I don't really care for how this beer smells, but I do like how it tastes. Not sure I've ever tried a "rustic golden ale" before...

Houston Rockets & Social Recruiting

Some smart work by the Rockets here using social channels to let fans encourage their players to re-sign with the team.

My All-Star Beer Choice- Port Brewing Wipeout IPA

Element Brewing Company Dark Matter

I tried this beer at Julio's today and really liked it. It's dirty with some nice hop character. The official category listed on the label is "New American Black Ale". I look forward to trying more beers from Element!
